Our staff is highly trained to make the process as comfortable as possible. The test is done by inserting a swab into your nostril approximately 1 inch into the nasal passage (midway) with the most visible drainage or the nostril that is most congested if drainage is not present. The swab is rotated several times, removed gently and this process is repeated on the other side.
You will be tested in one of two ways. Rapid-result testing is generally returned in person within 2 hours of specimen collection. Molecular PCR tests are sent to one of our lab partners, which may return results within 48 Hours for Regular Molecular PCR hours from the time a sample. Wait times for results may vary based on nationwide demand. When your result is ready, you will receive an email or text with a link to download your PDF.

Proof of identity and proof of insurance is required. You’ll also need to show your appointment confirmation, either by email or text message.

You will receive a phone call from CityHealth and your information will be shared with the county Department of Public Health, who will assign a contact tracer to interview you. Your result will also be sent to your through our HIPAA compliant health portal at onpatient.com.

If your test result is negative, you do not have COVID-19. You should continue to follow all local safety regulations, including social distancing and wearing a mask, if required in your area.
You will receive documentation of your test result regardless of whether you test positive or negative for COVID-19.
